[Kyoto] Horai-style dry landscape garden

This is a sub-temple of Nanzen-ji Temple, home to the famous "Tsurukame Garden." The garden's fresh greenery was stunning. Most visitors were just passing through and sightseeing at Nanzen-ji Temple, so there were few worshippers and I was able to appreciate the view at my own pace. The pond, moss, and the formal front garden of the abbot's quarters create a typically Japanese landscape. I recommend it for sightseeing in Kyoto.
