🏯Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera Temple is located on the hillside of 🎌Otowa Mountain and is also known as "Otowa Kiyomizu-dera Temple". Today, most of the buildings here are preserved from the Edo period. It is not only a #tourist attraction in Kyoto, but also one of the most famous and oldest temples in Japan. It was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1994.
🏯 #Kiyomizudera Temple was founded in 778 and is located among the lush green mountains and forests. Niomon Gate is the main entrance to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It was rebuilt in 1631 and is home to two majestic statues of Nio, which symbolize the power to protect the temple and its believers. Niomon Gate welcomes visitors with its imposing architecture and intricately carved details.

The Kiyomizu Three-Storied Pagoda is one of the iconic buildings of Kiyomizu Temple. It was rebuilt in 1633. The tower is decorated with red paint and stands among the green mountains.

Kiyomizu Dance Hall is the main hall of Kiyomizu Temple, where the "Eleven-faced Thousand-armed Thousand-eyed Guanyin statue" is enshrined. The wooden structure of the main hall was built on the slope of the hill using traditional Japanese construction methods. No nails were used and the suspended stage design was made extremely precious and became a "national treasure".

The "Otowa Falls", named after the temple, originates from the holy spring of Kiyomizu Temple. The waterfall is divided into three streams, symbolizing blessings for health, academics, and love. Visitors can scoop water with a cup and pray sincerely, and taste the spring of blessing!
