In recent years, this popular spot has become famous on social media for its spectacular photos✨

It is a branch temple of the Jodo Shinshu Muryojusan Komyo-ji Temple, which has its head temple in Gifu City, at the foot of Mt. Hiei, and its principal image is the Amida Buddha.

It was originally built as a villa, and has a sukiya-style building and a Japanese garden on a 40,000m2 site!! !

It is usually closed to the public, but is open to the public three times a year in spring, summer, and autumn.

I visited for a special night viewing, and the fantastically lit-up maples at night were a spectacular sight in themselves, and were incredibly beautiful😍
