🦋西红願寺, an ancient temple with a history of nearly 400 years, is located in the center of Kyoto and is one of the 17 world heritage sites in Kyoto. The most famous thing in the temple is the huge 400-year-old ginkgo tree. It is now late autumn, and the golden ginkgo leaves have dyed the entire temple golden. You can feel its magnificence and beauty more deeply when you appreciate it up close.

🦋The architecture in the temple is simple and elegant, and is a representative work of Momoyama culture. The most magnificent building, "Myei-do", was rebuilt in 1636. A total of 227 wooden pillars were used, making it the largest wooden building in the world.

🦋Walk out of Nishi-Honganji Temple and stroll along the quiet alley for about 15 minutes, you will arrive at Higashi-Honganji Temple, another famous ginkgo site. There is a whole row of towering ginkgo trees along the wall, which together with the Kyoto Tower in the back form a beautiful skyline.
