Hoshinoya Kyoto | A Tranquil Experience in the Red Maple Season

In early December, I stayed at Hoshinoya Kyoto, a top-rated hotel located in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The hotel is conveniently accessible by boat from Arashiyama Pier. The scenery along the riverbank is stunning, as if entering another world.
Hoshinoya Kyoto is located in a very quiet area with a peaceful environment. The facilities and layout blend Eastern and Western styles, and the overall decoration is very Zen-like. After arriving at the hotel, we experienced a very thoughtful reception, and the entire check-in process was smooth and efficient. Although the hotel room is not large, the beautiful view outside the window and the thoughtful layout inside the room make people feel very comfortable. The guest service is extremely attentive, and privacy protection is also very good.
The room provides a variety of high-quality facilities, including comfortable beds and Japanese pajamas. Although there is no TV in the room, I don't feel the need for it in such an environment. Every morning, I can enjoy a freshly made Japanese breakfast, which is very rich. The hotel's coffee is also excellent, especially the coffee in collaboration with the local old-brand Verdi. While enjoying the coffee, you can watch the beautiful scenery outside the window, which is really wonderful.
There are many places worth visiting around Arashiyama, such as the famous Tenryu-ji Temple and Bamboo Grove Path. If you have time, you can also go to the nearby sushi restaurant "Sushi Narita-ya" to experience authentic Japanese cuisine. "Saigetsu" near the hotel is also a recommended restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine.
As for the hotel's shortcomings, the only one may be that the price is indeed relatively high. However, considering the scenery, service, and overall environment here, this experience is still worthwhile. Of course, if you plan to stay, it is recommended to stay at least two nights, so that you can better experience the beauty of Hoshinoya Kyoto.
In short, every moment at this hotel is full of surprises and emotions, and I have already started looking forward to my next visit. Whether it's spring cherry blossoms, summer greenery, winter snow, or autumn maple leaves, I look forward to another wonderful journey. 😊
