Taking the Sagano sightseeing train, I felt like I was out of the real world during these 25 minutes.
The Sagano train trip is also a trip to the Hozugawa Valley. When you sit on the train, you can see beautiful natural scenery outside the window along the way. In spring, the lush forests are interspersed with pink cherry blossoms, accompanied by the sound of the stream, which also becomes a small journey to purify the soul.
🌟🌟🚂
You need to buy tickets in advance to take the Sagano train, or you can choose to buy them directly at the ticket machine or counter. (There were not many people when we went, so we bought them directly at the counter. Remember to buy tickets in advance during peak season to avoid queuing!)
🌟🌟🚂
The Sagano train connects four stations: Saga, Arashiyama, Hozukyo, and Kameoka.
The starting point is Arashiyama Station and the end point is Kameoka Station. (You can stop at each station if time permits😆.)
We got off at the terminal station, Guigang Station, and stopped to rest. This is a green farmland. I saw a horse and bought carrots to feed it. Some people can pay to ride in a horse carriage and go around in circles. Walking in this open space, I also saw an old man selling strawberries. I bought a box and ate it immediately. This is the most delicious strawberry I have ever eaten in my life. Every time I come here, as long as I see it, I can't help but buy it.
🌟🌟🚂
Guigang Station is the starting point of Baochuan rafting. If this is the last route of the day's journey, you can take the Baochuan cruise. If you don't want to take the boat, you can continue to take the train.
🌟🌟🌟
You can visit Arashiyama, Togetsukyo Bridge, and Kameoka on the same day!
