If you want to avoid the crowds when viewing cherry blossoms in Kyoto, you can go further north. #上加茂神社 This is the oldest shrine in Kyoto, and the northern section of the Kamogawa River is definitely the best choice for viewing cherry blossoms with fewer people.
Kamigamo Shrine is surrounded by rich nature. Although there are only about 100 cherry trees, you can see different varieties of cherry blossoms. Some of the trees are over a hundred years old. They are as old and graceful as the shrine.
The "Saiou Sakura" that is over 150 years old, the "Gosho Sakura" donated by the Imperial Palace, and the "Goare Sakura" that can be seen through the sand, each of these unique styles of Ippon Sakura adds a graceful and elegant atmosphere to the ancient shrine.
