One of the oldest shrines in Kyoto! ✨
Kamigamo Shrine (official name: Kamo Wakeikazuchi Shrine).
It is said to have been founded in 678 and is a power spot that enshrines the god of thunder, Kamo Wakeikazuchi no Okami⚡️⛩️

It is also registered as a World Heritage Site, and the grounds are beautiful with nature in every season, especially the "Aoi Festival" in May is a must-see👘🌿
(In 2025, it was held on May 15th and ended💦)
There were many important cultural properties on the premises!

🚃 How to get there

Train and bus
• From JR Kyoto Station:
• Take Kyoto City Bus Route 4 or Route 205 and get off at the "Kamigamo Jinja-mae" stop.
• Travel time: about 30 minutes.

By car

From Kyoto Higashi IC on the Meishin Expressway:

• About 40 minutes.

Parking

• Available.
