I Thought the Cherry Blossoms Along Kyoto’s Kamo River Were Beautiful… Until I Went Further 🌸

#cherryblossom25
I’ve always loved the Kamo River in every season.
Sitting by the river, it feels like time slows down.
The sound of the flowing water, mixed with the occasional bird song,
drowns out the noise of the outside world.

You start to feel a freedom —
as if there's another world beyond this one.
It’s as if, if you just follow the river,
you could reach somewhere you've always dreamed of. 🌿

🌸 A Hidden Gem Upstream
Head to the north side of Kyoto,
where the Kamo River becomes Kamogawa’s upper stream —
there, you’ll find a denser, more lush sakura forest!

Compared to the more famous lower Kamo River,
this area is much quieter, almost secret.
There are hardly any tourists —
it’s my hidden spot for quietly soaking in the beauty of spring.

Last year, I caught the Somei Yoshino cherry trees at about 80% bloom —
the cherry blossom tunnels lining the path felt so full of poetry and dreaminess. 🌸✨
