Enjoying plum blossoms at Jonangu Shrine

Jonangu Shrine, located in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, is famous as the "Great Shrine of Protection from Misfortune." It is also renowned for its weeping plum blossoms, which are at their best around March. Despite being Sunday morning at around 9 AM, the shrine was already bustling with many visitors. The weeping plum blossoms sway gracefully in the wind, creating a charming atmosphere. Although it's a bit away from the city center, it's highly recommended during the plum blossom season.
