Fushimi Inari Taisha is one of Kyoto’s most iconic spots and walking through its endless rows of bright red torii gates felt both peaceful and surreal. The trail winds gently up the mountain, with quiet spots along the way where you can pause, breathe, and take in the view.
We started early to avoid the crowd, and the soft morning light made the gates glow even more beautifully. Small fox statues, hidden shrines, and stone paths added to the magic.
