Famous as a filming location for the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha," Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's most famous attractions. The shrine is also known as the "Fox Shrine" due to the numerous fox statues scattered throughout the shrine. A large red torii gate greets you at the entrance. Walking along the long gate will take you to the summit, where you can admire the beautiful scenery.
