Yasaka Shrine ⛩️ is famous for its Gion Matsuri (Gion Matsuri) summer festival, held every July and considered one of the most famous festivals in Japan.

This Shinto shrine is home to the deity Susanoo-no-mikoto, a deity from Japanese mythology.

Located in the popular Gion district, it's always packed with tourists.

The area is also home to many ancient temples and shrines.
