🍁🍁 ONE AUTUMN SPOT A DAY IN JAPAN 🍁🍁
📍 Bishamon-do Temple – Kyoto
Located on the Higashiyama mountainside in Yamashina, Bishamon-do is one of Kyoto’s oldest temples. It is dedicated to Bishamonten, the leader of the Four Heavenly Kings in Buddhism, who is believed to protect families and bring good fortune in business.
✨ Each season has its charm here, but the most breathtaking time is definitely mid-November, when the entire temple grounds are ablaze with fiery autumn leaves. The long approach lined with red momiji and the tranquil atmosphere create a picture-perfect scene of Kyoto in fall.
