One of Lake Taupo's greatest charms is the view of the volcanic peaks of Tongariro National Park (Mt. Ngauruhoe, Mt. Tongariro, and Mt. Ruapehu) from the lake's south side. In September, these peaks were covered in white snow, and the majesty of the snow-capped mountains spread across the vast lake was breathtaking. I sat at a spot with a nice view by the lake, sipped coffee, and gazed at this natural masterpiece for a long time. Choosing this Tongariro view when booking my accommodation with my "TravelSupport" was a stroke of genius. Lake Taupo is beautiful on its own, but it shines even brighter when combined with the surrounding terrain.
