Dayang Bay Resort Langkawi

To start off with the positives, the resort is conveniently located near Kuah, near a popular duty free shop and multiple convenience marts, offers very decent buffet breakfast that doesn't cost much more, has great hotel staff and q nice sea-facing swimming pool. I stayed in a room with a great sea view (see photo). However, my room was infested with ants (along the tables and even coming out from the water boiler). Also, the room has very poor soundproofing. It was a room at level 2 and above the pool table area so I could hear people playing pool at 2am. Otherwise overall decent for the accommodation price. Just don't expect 5-star quality.
