People in Langzhong like to climb Tengwang Pavilion, especially in the early morning and when the sun sets, families call friends and climb the steps together, exercising on the mountain, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and taking photos to check in...
The pines and cypresses on the mountain are always green, towering like a canopy, while below lies a river of clear water, winding around the city...
The poet sage Du Fu, when he lived in Langzhong, climbed Tengwang Pavilion many times, composing poems to express his feelings. Literary figures such as Lu You and Yang Zhan also visited here and left behind their poetry.
The picture shows the poetry stele at the foot of the pavilion's stairs, very conspicuous on the stone tower. The dragon and phoenix dance-like poetry is the verse Du Fu wrote for Tengwang Pavilion: 'The king's pavilions rest on the Basha Mountains, a ladder of a thousand zhang still climbable. In spring, orioles sing in the bamboo, celestial dogs bark among the white clouds. The clear river's jeweled stones are heartbreakingly beautiful, tender buds and dense flowers fill one's sight. People to this day sing and herd, coming to this place without knowing if they will return.'
