Lijiang Ancient Town One-Day Tour:
1. Try on Tibetan ethnic costumes: You can rent them at shops in the ancient town. Some shops offer photography services but charge per photo. I think spending around $100 for costume rental and makeup, then taking your own photos, is sufficient. Some shops offer daily rentals, while others rent by the hour. Personally, renting for a few hours is enough. There are various costumes for adults, children, and seniors from different ethnic groups to choose from.
2. The roads in the ancient town are uneven with some stairs, so walk carefully.
3. Minimal altitude sickness.
4. Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles with an actual bridge: The famous "Zhaza Rice Noodles" is heavily advertised, but local guides say it's not popular among locals. However, its convenient location makes it worth a try. I found it to be average and nothing special.
