The Xinghai Lake Scenic Area, located at the foot of Wulong Peak within the Zhengzhou Yellow River Scenic Area, is named in honor of Xian Xinghai, the great musician and composer of the "Yellow River Cantata." The path along Xinghai Lake is flat and spacious, with weeping willows lining the shore, dotted with scenic rocks and seating. A leisurely stroll along the lake reveals the wondrous spectacle of the Yellow River's waters changing from yellow to clear and then back again. Visitors can also visit the Peacock Garden, the largest peacock breeding base in the Central Plains region, home to over 800 blue and white peacocks. Here, you can not only observe the peacocks but also enter the garden for close encounters, feeding them, and taking photos with them.
You can also see pheasants, wild mandarin ducks, ostriches, elk, and other animals. Alternatively, you can stroll to the Yellow River Bund beside Xinghai Lake and experience the majestic Yellow River. Here, you can admire the river's scenery, feel its generosity, vastness, and grandeur. You can also participate in beach horse racing, galloping across the Yellow River beach for another fascinating experience.
The temperate monsoon climate makes it suitable for travel in all four seasons.
The scenic area comprises six distinct scenic spots: Hundred Birds Singing, Golden Western Region, South Sand Sea, Crane Valley, Crescent Moon Sea, and Egret Island. Here, seagulls and wild ducks flock in diverse flocks, surrounded by lush reeds, cattails, and lotus flowers, creating a tranquil and tranquil scene. After a year of development and construction, a distinctive sand and water garden ecological scenic area has taken shape, with sand and water intertwined, archipelagos surrounding it, lush trees and grass, seagulls flying, and fish swimming.
