Expectations and reality

First scenic stop that everyone is recommending is Blue Moon Valley. On pictures it looks amazing and it's mostly used as a photo opportunity. You can rent some local clothes, walk around, take pics with yak etc.
Driving from Lijiang was ok, lot of parking space nearby gate where you can take a bus to scenic spot. We tried to bypass this, but at the end we didn't have anywhere to park nearby.
Disappointment was that this is not natural lake, bottom of the lake is even painted in that nice blue shade. Clouds were covering mountain tops, so we didn't have luck with that either. We went to Yak medow and ended up in foggy surroundings. At least you can go there by car and park for free.
