Transportation

- Self-driving: Navigate directly to the destination. Parking is free.
- High-speed rail: Arrive at Lingshui Station, then take a taxi for about 15 minutes.
- Bus: There are direct buses from downtown Sanya to the scenic area. After arriving at the pier, exchange your ticket and take a boat to the island. The boat ride takes 15 minutes.

Opening hours and tickets

- Opening hours: 8:30–22:30
- Tickets: CNY 159, including round-trip ferry tickets and sightseeing bus tickets. If you stay at a hotel on the island, you don't need to buy tickets for the scenic area or the sightseeing bus.

Food

- Coconut chicken: Fresh coconut water and coconut meat, paired with tender chicken, simmered over a low heat. The soup is sweet and clear.
- Zaopei vinegar seafood hot pot: A hot pot with Hainan's unique Zaopei vinegar as the base, with fresh seafood. Sour, fragrant, and delicious.
- Baoluo noodles: A traditional Hainan snack. The noodles are delicate and smooth, with special sauces and rich ingredients.

- Water activities: Banana boats, snorkeling, jet skis, parasailing, glass boat photography, and more. Buying a package is more cost-effective.

- Ocean Theater: Watch sea lion and dolphin performances. After the performance, you can feed and interact with sea turtles.
- Feed stingrays: On the first beach to the right after arriving on the island. There are fixed interaction times: 9:30, 13:00, 15:00, and 18:00.

Photo spots

- Moonlight Castle: Ancient Roman-style building with a sea swing. Turn left after arriving on the island and walk for about 10 minutes.
- Maritime Lighthouse: The same lighthouse as in Hayao Miyazaki's anime. You can see it as soon as you arrive on the island.
- Dadongtian: The first stop of the sightseeing bus, with popular hot air balloons, coconut roads, white churches, and more.
- Fengdong Stone: The second stop of the sightseeing bus, where you can take photos of the cliff cabins.
- Yuefeng Pavilion: The last stop of the sightseeing bus, where you can overlook the entire sea.
