Even on rainy days, you can still get great shots! Experience the unique charm of the misty Jiangnan in Zhaoxing Dong Village 💦
The Dong Village is even more atmospheric on rainy days, with the stilted buildings shrouded in mist looking absolutely stunning! Here are some top photo spots to check out 📸
📍Drum Tower Square
The best spot for aerial shots! It’s recommended to climb the viewing platform to overlook the entire village. The blue-tiled wooden buildings appear faintly through the fog on rainy days, making every shot a masterpiece of traditional Chinese style.
📍Wind and Rain Bridge
Be sure to visit this distinctive Dong ethnic bridge. On rainy days, the mist and wooden structure create a poetic atmosphere. You can also see local elders crafting handmade items on the bridge, adding a touch of everyday life.
📍By the Stream
Walk along the stream inside the village to find many surprising angles. Especially when it rains, the ripples on the water blur the reflections of the stilted buildings beautifully.
📍Village Gate Tower
The large terraced fields at the village entrance are very photogenic! After the rain, the air is especially clear, and the distant mountains look like an ink painting.
🌟Useful Tips:
1. Bring a tripod for rainy day shooting; long exposure shots turn out amazing.
2. You can rent a set of Dong ethnic costumes for photos, costing 30-50 RMB per set.
3. Admission is 78 RMB per person; it’s recommended to spend a whole day here.
4. Best shooting times: early morning or evening after the rain clears.
Bring your camera and come experience the unique misty Dong Village!
