Zhaoxing Dong Village | An Ancient Village on the Edge of Time

At the end of September in Qiandongnan, the terraced fields are just golden, and the morning sounds of geese by the creek along with the scent of burning firewood make time slow down a few beats...

I've always loved this kind of primitive, quaint architecture. The drum towers in Zhaoxing Dong Village are very distinctive. I also experienced being a Miao girl for a day, haha. There are photo studios everywhere in the village. The village is not big, and renting an electric bike at night to wander around is very convenient and comfortable.

When visiting Zhaoxing Dong Village, you must go to Tang'an and Xiage. After two days, my favorite part was riding the electric bike from Zhaoxing Dong Village to Xiage and Tang'an. The scenery along the way is beautiful, with golden terraced fields. Xiage and Tang'an are more primitive, with less commercialization, making them more suitable for relaxation. Once there, you want to stay for a few days; it’s very pleasant and comfortable.

Here’s a little guide, haha. I don’t really recommend the hotels or photo studios, but the food was all great—Liao Pangzi, Auntie Green Headscarf, and One Bean are all very good 🉑
