Lisbon Oceanarium Visit

Taking advantage of the Halloween holiday at the end of October, I planned a short trip to the Lisbon Oceanarium in Portugal. The weather was pleasantly cool with soft sunlight, neither too hot nor too cold—just the perfect season. Even better, the number of visitors at this time was just right—not crowded but not empty either, allowing me to quietly enjoy the ecology and atmosphere of each exhibit.
The entire Oceanarium isn't particularly large, and it felt more compact than I had imagined. However, every corner was meticulously arranged with soft lighting, making it feel like stepping into an underwater world. From tropical fish to deep-sea creatures, each tank was crystal clear, with fish swimming leisurely, creating a relaxing ambiance.
The most unforgettable part of this visit was undoubtedly the two incredibly adorable otters! They were the stars of the entire exhibit, drawing almost every visitor to stop and watch. These fluffy little creatures would tumble in the water one moment and lie on their backs munching on shells the next, completely melting my heart. Their nimble little hands moved so quickly, and they would curiously glance at the audience, as if aware they were being admired.
In addition to the otters, the Oceanarium also featured a penguin area, a coral reef exhibit, and a deep-sea tunnel. Although the space wasn't large, each section showcased the curators' dedication. The overall route was well-planned, ensuring no one got lost or retraced their steps. Finally, the gift shop offered ocean-themed souvenirs, especially otter-shaped plush toys that were simply irresistible to take home.
In summary, visiting the Lisbon Oceanarium at the end of October was just perfect—fewer crowds, a relaxed atmosphere, and lively animals made for a delightful and therapeutic little trip.
