Baoshan Songshan Anti-Japanese War Site

Baoshan Songshan Anti-Japanese War Site is a monument that bears the weight of history and the spirit of heroism.
Songshan Battle History
The Songshan Battle in 1944 was a key battle in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The Japanese army held this area and built strong fortifications. The Chinese Expeditionary Force fought fiercely with the Japanese army to recover this strategic area. The soldiers, fearless of the enemy, charged through the hail of bullets and shells, and with their tenacious will and great sacrifice, finally won the victory, opening a breakthrough for the counterattack in western Yunnan, demonstrating the indomitable spirit of the Chinese army and people in the War of Resistance.

The sculptures are even more impressive. Each sculpture is vivid, depicting the heroic posture of the soldiers. Some soldiers hold their rifles tightly, staring firmly ahead, as if ready to fight at any time; some soldiers are seriously injured but still stand strong, showing their indomitable will; and some soldiers support each other, showing their deep friendship. These sculptures are full of emotion, making us feel the warmth of that history and the selfless dedication of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country and the nation. They are witnesses of history and symbols of our national spirit, inspiring us to remember history, cherish peace, and inherit and carry forward the great spirit of our ancestors. Standing on this land, we feel a deep respect for our ancestors, and their heroic deeds will always be engraved in our hearts.
