Taiping Bridge | I love this Chinese aesthetic so much

|I love this Chinese aesthetic so much. The Taiping Bridge was built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. It was built by Wang Shouren (Yangming), the governor of Southern Jiangxi, to commemorate the pacification of the "Sanhuan Rebellion" and to show peace in the world. It was later destroyed, and the current bridge was rebuilt at the site selected by the Lai clan in the first year of Jiaqing (1796).
The Taiping Bridge has a beautiful and unique shape, and the bridge and the houses are a perfect match. The total length of the bridge is 44.8 meters, the bridge deck is 4 meters wide, and the overall height is about 15.2 meters. The lower layer has three piers and two holes, and is a masonry structure. The upstream middle pier protrudes like the bow of a ship.

It weakens the impact of water flow on the bridge piers. In the center of the upper bridge is a Hakka mansion-style brick and wood structure with four corridors. The gables on both sides are "Five Mountains facing the sky" and have corridor arches. The upper corridor arches fall on the arches of the two lower bridges to form a "pin"-shaped structure.
Taiping Bridge integrates science, practicality and artistry, and has extremely high aesthetic value and architectural research value. It was awarded the "Top 100 New Discoveries" in the third cultural relic survey of the whole park and was included in the "World Bridge View".

[Thinking] Travel experience + photography tips

Suitable for long-range shooting, you can take a panoramic view of the two bridge arches and the pavilion arch, with small figures dotting the scene. If the light is good, you can also take a picture of the bridge body reflected in the water, forming a picture with complex lines.

Aerial photography is recommended, the drone’s perspective will be even more stunning.
