|Another hidden gem of a tulou cluster. There are so many tulou in Fujian, so why choose Chuxi Tulou? Because it is the most niche, least popular, most primitive, and least commercialized tulou cluster. More importantly, this tulou cluster is really beautiful, especially the mountain viewing platform, where you can overlook the entire tulou cluster built on the terraces, which is amazing.
After the National Day holiday, it feels like you have the whole scenic area to yourself. Before entering the tulou cluster, you will pass a small stream, and hear the crowing of roosters and barking of dogs, which makes you feel like you have entered a paradise. There is also the oldest tulou with a history of more than 600 years - Jiqing Building, which has various ancient exhibits inside, and is well worth a visit.
The best viewing spot in the scenic area is on the mountain opposite the tulou cluster. You can climb to the pavilion along the trail in just over ten minutes, where you can see the entire tulou panorama.
