#VisitLaos

The National Museum of Luang Prabang used to be an old palace with a French-Lao architectural style and was the residence of the King of Luang Prabang. It was built in 1904 during the reign of King Si Savang Vong and continued until the reign of King Si Savang Vadhana, the last King of Laos.

Currently, this palace has been converted into a museum for tourists to visit. Inside, various antiques, royal regalia and royal possessions of the King are displayed, as well as Buddha images and old pictures showing the history of Luang Prabang that are very interesting. Those who love visiting museums, antiques and antiques must not miss visiting.

For inside the museum, visitors are only allowed to visit. Photography is not allowed. Bags, cameras and mobile phones must be left outside. However, photography is allowed around the museum. In the same area, there is Ho Phra Bang, which is the place where Phra Bang, the sacred Buddha image of Luang Prabang, is enshrined. Although photography is not allowed, you can go up and pay homage and make a wish.

The highlight of the National Museum of Luang Prabang is the row of palm trees on both sides, leading the eye to the palace building. It is beautiful and eye-catching both in the morning and at night with its lights.

The museum is open daily from 8:00 to 11:30 and 1:30 to 4:00.
