🇱🇦Offering sticky rice to monks in Luang Prabang is an important and unique tradition of the city, especially in front of Wat Saensukharam. People come to offer alms to monks who walk for alms in the early morning.
⏰Almsgiving starts around 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. every day. We come to the front of Wat Saensukharam. The monks will walk along Si Sawangwong Road. We should arrive at the alms offering point before the time to find a suitable place and prepare ourselves.
🔺It is recommended to dress politely and behave respectfully. You can prepare sticky rice and dried food to offer to monks or buy them from that area.
