Sharing a budget-friendly trip to Luang Prabang, Laos, for 3 days and 2 nights. Starting from Nong Khai province, we took the Laos-China railway to reach Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city, is a small town nestled among mountains. Its slow-paced lifestyle and serene atmosphere make it a favorite destination to visit repeatedly. It's easy to explore, with familiar language, affordable living costs, historical attractions, charming cafes, friendly locals, and a peaceful vibe.

Here's how we divided the budget:

Transportation (starting from Nong Khai): 1,660 THB
Food: 750 THB
Cafe visits: 360 THB (we indulged in cafes every day during the 3-day trip)
Entrance fees to attractions: 170 THB
Accommodation: 680 THB
Motorbike rental + fuel: 170 THB
Miscellaneous expenses: 200 THB

Total: Approximately 3,990 THB per person. This budget focuses on good food and comfortable stays, with daily cafe visits. The actual cost may vary slightly depending on currency exchange rates and individual lifestyles.
