Mekong River is the perfect plan to spend a lazy morning or afternoon in Luang Prabang. Eating with the most amazing view of the river is a must. There are many places along the river to choose. The setting is absolutely stunning in the morning, it is the best way to start a busy day with good pastries, fruit, coffee or juice. If you are early enough you can enjoy watching the sunrise over the Mekong. Speaking of food, it would take a long time to sample all the traditional dishes. Every speciality is reasonably-priced so there is no excuse to try some local cuisine.
