Discovered! High-speed rail direct! A Southeast Asian town more healing than Chiang Mai!

Hey everyone! We are the super fun Uncle and Mengyao!
Choosing to travel to Luang Prabang, Laos 🇱🇦 this time was absolutely the right decision! This romantic town on the Mekong River perfectly blends French romance with Laotian Zen, making it perfect for a short getaway~ You won't want to leave, seriously!

We've put together a 4-day, 3-night travel guide for Luang Prabang, so add it to your travel plans now!

🏨 For accommodation, we highly recommend Noah Resort Laos 🇱🇦👉
They offer airport pick-up service, so you won't be flustered upon arrival, which is super nice!
The front desk staff can communicate in Chinese without any issues, so friendly to Chinese travelers!
The hotel's main building features a pure white, Chinese courtyard style, with a strong artistic ambiance.
The room we stayed in was super spacious, with a two-meter wide vanity, and a nutritious breakfast, pure bliss!!!

🚗 Day 1: Countryside and Pastoral Roaming
▪️ Kuang Si Falls: The three-tiered turquoise waterfall is breathtakingly beautiful! You can swim, hike~ You absolutely must visit the mountaintop cafe!
▪️ Rice Field Cafe: You can stop by on your way back, drink Laotian iced coffee by the lush green rice fields, full of pastoral charm 🌾
▪️ Dinner: After returning to the hotel and resting, head to the Mekong Riverfront. There are many popular riverside spots along the bank~
Any one you choose will be great! Watching the sunset over the Mekong River is super romantic~
TIPS: Chartered car for a day trip (approx. 900,000 Kip/car)

🚶 Day 2: Luang Prabang Citywalk and Slow Living
▪️ Royal Palace Museum: The palace of Laos' last king, with a golden dome + incredibly ornate murals! The courtyard is also very photogenic!
▪️ Wat Xieng Thong: A must-see is the "Tree of Life" mosaic mural! It sparkles in the sunlight, and the temple corners are also great for photos 📸
▪️ Handicraft Shops: Weaving workshops and jewelry/clothing stores next to the main street (Sisavangvong Road) offer local specialties, perfect for souvenirs.
▪️ Nightlife: Night Market + Street Stalls + Bars on Sisavangvong Road!
The bar street in the middle of the night market is highly recommended; every bar is super CHILL! There are foreigners with blonde hair and blue eyes everywhere, no wonder they say Laos is a paradise for "European backpackers"!

🌅 Day 3: Southeast Asian Charm
▪️ Morning Alms Giving: Arrive near the entrance of Sisavangvong Road at 5:30 AM, buy some sticky rice and snacks to participate in the ceremony. The procession of monks in orange robes is incredibly moving (remember to maintain a solemn demeanor).
▪️ Morning Market Breakfast: After the alms giving, you can explore the morning market (on Sisavangvong Road).
▪️ Mekong River Cruise: There are many cruises nearby; you can charter a boat or join a group (approx. 350,000 Kip/person). The boat also includes performances and a simple meal with drinks. The breeze blowing by is incredibly pleasant!

💡 Travel Tips
✅ When entering temples, you must wear long pants/skirts. No photos allowed inside the Royal Palace!
✅ It's more convenient to use Kip when buying things in Laos. Some shops accept Visa. Remember to exchange back to RMB when you return home.
