So far, the most stunning temple truly deserves the title of China's oldest temple

Luoyang🔴White Horse Temple
Located about 12 kilometers east of Luoyang city center
With Mang Mountain to the north and Luoshui River to the south
Among the temples I have visited in recent years,
this ancient temple brought me both shock and tranquility

Luoyang🔴White Horse Temple
Founded in the 11th year of the Yongping era of the Eastern Han Dynasty (68 AD)
It is the first temple officially built after Buddhism was introduced to China
Known as the "Ancestral Court of Buddhism"
The temple's halls are layered, with ancient cypress trees towering
It houses treasures such as Yuan Dynasty lacquered wooden statues and Tang Dynasty scripture pillars
As a world Buddhist sanctuary,
White Horse Temple integrates Buddhist halls in the styles of China, India, Myanmar, and Thailand
With the stature of "The First Temple Under Heaven,"
it carries the profound legacy of two thousand years of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries

▪️About tranquility
The day I arrived at White Horse Temple, it was raining heavily
Perhaps because of this, there were not many visitors that day
The raindrops and the sound of rain added a layer of Zen to White Horse Temple
Accompanied by incense and chanting, my heart felt very peaceful
🍵 The "tea" at the Silence Tea House
The unspoken agreement of silence among those around
At that moment, "quiet" was also a kind of strength

▪️About shock
In the garden area on the west side is the International Buddhist Hall area
It gathers Buddhist halls in the styles of India, Myanmar, and Thailand
It feels like a momentary journey to Southeast Asia
But I must admit, what truly shocked me
was still our Chinese Buddhist culture
