I am here @Macau Maritime Museum

#MacauAttractions

The Macau Maritime Museum is the oldest museum in Macau, China. Opposite it is the A-Ma Temple.

The Macau Maritime Museum mainly introduces the main maritime activities in the region, including: fishing methods and traditional fishing boats in southern China, science and technology and means of transportation, and the maritime history of Portugal and China.

The Maritime Museum is divided into several parts: (1) Museum Building (2) Fishermen's World (3) Maritime Trade (4) Navigation Technology and Transportation. It mainly tells the story of Macau's transformation from a fishing port to the city it is today.

The museum is like a unique ship, anchored at the entrance to the inner harbor where fishermen live. Its white exterior resembles the open sails of a three-masted ship, and its glass windows are reminiscent of one lookout tower after another. Covered by a large marquee, the museum square is a must-see spot to admire the riverside and busy harbour, or watch the tourists make their way to the A-Ma temple.

The Maritime Museum, don’t miss it if you come to Macau!

Address: No. 1, A-Ma Temple Square, Fong Shun Parish, Macau Special Administrative Region
