Top 2 Must-Try Walking Routes for Family Fun in Macau

After annual family trips to Macau, we've compiled all our city walk experiences. If we had to recommend just two routes, these would be them - check the photos for route maps!

1. Coloane Island City Walk - A Peaceful Escape!
Save half a day for this hidden gem when visiting Macau with kids. Coloane offers an artsy, tranquil vibe with soothing ocean sounds instead of city noise. This dopamine-colored fishing village is wonderfully therapeutic on sunny days.
Highlights include:
• The bright yellow St. Francis Chapel
• S-shaped coastal road with breathtaking views
• Picture-perfect seaside boardwalk
• Iceland-like black sand beach
The 7-8km coastal walk takes about half a day (we spent 4 leisurely hours). With charming cafes and restaurants along the way, it's the perfect stress-free adventure!

2. Macau Peninsula Essentials - Culture & Scenery Galore
• Lisboa Hotel: Iconic landmark with "God of Gamblers" photo spots
• Rua da Felicidade: National Geographic-famous view of Lisboa
• Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro: Colorful photogenic buildings
• Ruins of St. Paul's: Must-visit landmark with souvenir shops nearby
• Travessa da Paixão: Perfect St. Paul's photo spot on this vibrant street
• St. Dominic's Church: European-style architecture throughout
• Senado Square: Festive decorations during special events
• Wynn Macau: Hourly "Tree of Prosperity" shows (~5 minutes each)
