At Wat Ban Den, Wat Ban Den is a temple located on a small hill surrounded by beautiful views. Inside the temple, there are many Bodhi trees or Sahri trees of various sizes. In addition, the temple is located in the ancient city area called Muang Kaen. Therefore, the locals call this temple by its full name "Wat Den Sahri Si Mueang Kaen". It is also beautifully decorated with Lanna Thai architecture, including the chapel, the library, the drum tower, the Sao Inthakhil shrine, and the golden teak wood hut, which reflects the beautiful religious site with moral principles. To get there, take the same route as the Maengat Dam, which is on the Chiang Mai-Samoeng or Chiang Mai-Fang tourist route. Drive along Highway No. 107, pass Mae Malai Intersection, and reach Mae Taeng District. Turn right to the Maengat Somboon Chon Dam. Drive straight ahead and you will pass the Kaen Municipality Arch. When you reach the sports field, you will see the Ban Den Temple sign on the left. Turn and drive for about 1 kilometer and you will reach Wat Ban Den Sahri Si Mueang Kaen. This place is 30 kilometers away from Chiang Mai city.
📍Location: In Inthakhil Subdistrict, Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province
