Hidden Gem in Mangshi: A Unique Homestay in the Dai Ancient Town

Hey everyone! If you're planning to visit Mangshi, staying at the right homestay can save you half the time on planning your trip! Let me highly recommend the "Ni Cai Homestay" in the Dai Ancient Town. After staying here, I ended up extending my stay for three more days!

Location details: Dai Ancient Town, Area A, Dehong Courtyard, A21-1, Ni Cai Homestay (prime spot right by the bridge!)

Step out of the homestay and take just two steps to reach the stone-paved streets of the Dai Ancient Town. Dress up in traditional Dai attire and explore the area—you'll find peacock sculptures and the Water Splashing Square right in front of you. On holidays, you might even catch evening events and performances.

Getting to the Golden and Silver Pagodas is super convenient too. You can rent a small electric scooter 🛵 right at the entrance (the owner negotiated it down to just 20 RMB/day!). In just 10 minutes, you can ride to the Golden Pagoda for stunning backlit photos or to the Silver Pagoda for dreamy shots in a white dress—no need to wake up early to catch transportation!

The decor is a perfect blend of modern minimalism and wabi-sabi style. There are only six rooms in total, each with a unique layout. The wooden furniture shows the owner's thoughtful design, and every room is bathed in morning sunlight. One side of the homestay offers mountain views, while the other overlooks the ancient town—it's the ultimate vacation vibe!

💁‍♀️ The owner is more helpful than a friend, ensuring you experience Mangshi to the fullest!

The owner and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Check-in is quick, and they thoughtfully recommend local food and attractions, such as the nearby BBQ village, specialty breakfast spots, night markets, and Burmese cuisine. Truly, Mangshi is a foodie paradise in this border town, leaving you with unforgettable memories.

After a day of exploring, you can visit a partnered shop for a Burmese-style hair wash. The shoulder and neck massage will leave you feeling completely relaxed—such great value for money!

💰 The homestay is also very affordable and offers excellent value! Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or with friends, this place is perfect. The family room with three large beds is especially ideal for family trips. It features three big beds, double bay windows, and a spacious activity area—plenty of room for a family of five.

Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mangshi. Don't wait—book now!
