Just off the coast of Teluk Nipah, Pangkor Island, lies Pulau Giam, a small yet stunning island that feels like a secret getaway. Surrounded by white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic rock formations, this little gem is perfect for anyone who loves nature and adventure.
🌊 Why It’s Special
The highlight of Pulau Giam is its rare sandbank crossing. Every year, usually in early February during low tide, the sea recedes to reveal a natural walkway about 400 meters long. It takes only 10–15 minutes to walk across the sandbank from Teluk Nipah — a magical experience of literally walking on water to reach the island!
🐢🐊 Rock Wonders
On the beach, you’ll spot a massive rock shaped like a turtle and crocodile head, adding a fun touch to the island’s charm. It’s one of those quirky photo spots that nature created by accident.
🏖️ Things to Do
Pulau Giam is ideal for picnicking, camping, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, or just a relaxed beach day. For the more adventurous, you can even stroll or hike to the other side of the island, discovering quiet corners with untouched beauty!
