I wonder if the chickens on Fangji Island have grown up yet. I have to go see them this summer!

❤Depart from Maoming Bohe Port in the early morning. The speedboat splits the morning mist. After half an hour, Fangji Island appears like an emerald in the sparkling waves of the South China Sea. This small island, originally named "Wanzhou," got its name from the ancient custom of fishermen releasing chickens into the sea to worship. Today, it still retains its wild beauty that has not been over-carved.

❤Stepping on the white sand beach paved with fine coral, the sea water gradually changes from mint green to lapis lazuli blue. Diving instructor Lao Lin took me to dive into the "Phoenix Secret Realm." The sunlight penetrates 10 meters of clear water, and colorful tropical fish swim among the sunken shipwrecks. The rusted anchor chains have long been gently wrapped by corals. In the afternoon, I climbed the Feilai Stone Viewing Platform with 288 steps. The entire island stretched out under my feet, and fishing boats drew silver arcs in the distance. I was in a trance and couldn't tell the boundary between the sea and the sky.

❤In the twilight, the fishing village lights up with stars. The owner of the food stall brought up freshly caught steamed cuttlefish with garlic and a glass of chilled coconut jelly. Spend the night in a wooden house with the sound of waves as your pillow. Open the window and see the Milky Way pouring into the sea—this small island, which has been treated kindly by time, returns people to nature in the most primitive way.
