After the Songdao cruise, time was running out.
We headed straight to Zuiganji Temple, a national treasure
When you enter the main gate of Zuiganji Temple, the first thing you see is a wide and straight approach to the temple.
On the right side of the approach is the remains of a cave where many Buddha statues were enshrined.
Walk along the tree-lined path and you will reach the ticket office. After buying the ticket, you will see the Dhammakaya Cave on your left.
In front of you is the temple's central gate, and to enter the main hall, you need to follow the worship path and enter from the warehouse on the right.
After entering the main hall of Zuiganji Temple, the smell of incense inside will calm your mind (incense is sold at the ticket counter inside the main hall, you can buy it if you like the smell)
Then, follow the worship route to admire each compartment (there will be explanations next to each compartment to let visitors know the key points of appreciating this compartment)
P.S. Photography is prohibited inside the main hall, but you can take photos outside the main hall
The interior of the main hall is worth a closer look, and the scent of incense makes the mind relax, just appreciating it with your eyes is enough☺️
After visiting the main hall, you can continue to visit the Qinglongdian Treasure Museum (you are also not allowed to take photos). There are many armors, paintings and tea sets of Date Masamune, which are also worth stopping by!
Zuiganji Temple is worth spending at least 1-2 hours to fully appreciate, and it is definitely not to be missed when you come to Matsushima!
💞Recommendation reason: Both the buildings and furnishings are worth seeing, and it is refreshing to enter!
