Haleakalā is like visiting another planet. I woke up at 3 AM to catch the sunrise from the summit, and it was worth every lost minute of sleep. Watching the sun rise above the clouds from that massive volcanic crater gave me goosebumps. Later, I hiked through landscapes of red rock and lava that looked straight out of Mars. The views stretched forever over Maui. Peaceful, surreal, and unforgettable. #holidayitinerary
