Putian Ruiyunshan Forest Park is located in the northeastern part of Putian City, Fujian Province, under the jurisdiction of Hanjiang District. Its geographical coordinates are 119°10′ east longitude and 25°31′ north latitude. It is 30 kilometers east of Fuqing Shizhushan Tourist Area, borders Yongtai Qingyun Mountain to the west, 40 kilometers south of Xianyou Jiuli Lake, and 30 kilometers from Jiaji Caotang in Xinxian Town. It is 58 kilometers from downtown Putian, 28 kilometers from National Highway 324, and 70 kilometers from Fuzhou. The Fuqing-Yongtai Provincial Highway directly connects the entire area, making it ideally situated for convenient transportation.

Centered around Ruiyun Mountain, the area is divided into five scenic areas: a sightseeing and pilgrimage area, a leisure and vacation area, a grassland scenic area, and an ecological viewing area. Hundreds of wild animals frequently roam the area, including nationally protected species such as pythons, monkey-faced eagles, pangolins, Sumatran serows, and silver pheasants.

The cultural landscape is quite distinctive, including Prince Bridge, General Square, ancient official post road, stone men and stone horses, as well as Longxing Temple built in the Tang Dynasty, Tushita Temple, Dragon King Hall on the top of Ruiyun Mountain, and grotto temples from the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty, all of which bear the footprints of our ancestors.
