We attended a church service on Sunday. The service was held in French and Mauritian Creole. Everyone was quite welcoming, and you could see the azure sea sparkling through the window. The church is incredibly picturesque, and it's soothing to head to the water after the service to dip your feet and gaze at the fishing pirogues. Visiting Cap Malheureux wouldn't be complete without enjoying some grilled fish. We headed to Chez Claudio afterwards, where a line was already forming. We selected our fresh red snapper and prawns and then found a table on the beach. We watched our fish being cleaned in the distance and then brought to the grill. The grilled fish was the finest I've ever tasted - tender, crispy, with a smoky flavor outside. It came with fries, salad, and sausage, providing a hearty meal. One of the top experiences in Mauritius - highly recommend.
