DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Melaka

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. It was an ok experience, but not quite up to standards for a 5 star hotel.

Our package didn’t include breakfast, so we bought for one day during check in at RM 50 (usual price RM 58). A huge variety of cuisines to suit everybody’s taste, but not super impressive.

Pros:
- Check-in/out process was smooth with signature warm welcome cookie 🍪 and friendly service
- Spacious gym with lots of facilities was well-maintained
- Infinity pool had a nice birds-eye view (water was a quite cold in the morning though)
- Crabtree & Evelyn bathroom amenities

Cons:
- Room was quite dusty and air con was not cold enough
- Pillow wasn’t the most comfortable
- Location isn’t super convenient (taking Grab to/from Jonker Walk costed from RM 6-19 depending on the time)
- Strict timing on check out at 12pm (they only allowed for 30 minutes although we asked for 1pm)
