Shining Independence Monument

Construction of the Independence Monument (El Angel) began in 1902 to commemorate Mexico's independence from Spain and was completed in 1910. It is an iconic monument 🗽 in Mexico.

Atop the tower is a golden angel statue 🪽, beloved by the Mexican people as a symbol of freedom and victory. The remains of heroes from the War of Independence are enshrined inside, giving the tower great historical value.
