⛩️ Benzaiten Temple – A Quiet Stop on Fukuurashima

Tucked away on Fukuurashima Island, Benzaiten Temple is a small, unassuming structure you’ll likely come across while exploring the island. It’s one of the few notable landmarks on the island, but honestly, it’s more of a brief stop than a major attraction.
The temple itself is modest in size and design — nothing particularly grand or intricate — and there weren’t any informational panels or signs to provide context or historical background, which made it hard to appreciate its significance. It felt more like a quick photo spot than a destination in its own right.
Still, if you’re already on the island for a peaceful walk, Benzaiten Temple adds a touch of traditional charm to the scenery, even if it’s not especially memorable. Worth a look as part of the island loop, but don’t expect much in terms of interpretation or impact.
