Early Morning: Watch the Sunrise from Higashi-Hennazaki Cape ☀️
This is Miyakojima's premier sunrise spot!
The gradually brightening sky, lighthouse, clouds, sea, and sunshine are sure to be an unforgettable sight.
Getting up early is tough, but it's definitely worth it!
We recommend checking the sunrise time the day before and arriving about 15 minutes before sunrise. ✨
The water at the nearby fishing port is so clear it's like an aquarium.

Morning: Search for sea turtles at Aragusuku Beach 🐢
After watching the sunrise, head to Aragusuku Beach.
Take a sea turtle walk at Aragusuku Beach, where it's said there's a 90% or higher chance of encountering sea turtles. ✨
If you're a confident swimmer, we recommend going on your own rather than joining a tour.
After about an hour, we were able to see three sea turtles. 😳

Tired from swimming, I was able to eat even the large onigiri in one go. 🤤

We went to one of Miyakojima's most popular garlic shrimp restaurants.
Personally, I recommend the "slightly spicy" option!
The generous amount of shrimp mixed with garlic is so delicious, you won't have enough rice! 😂

Next, why not move to another island and enjoy a different view of the ocean?
Ikema Island is less developed, and the natural scenery is incredibly beautiful. ✨
