[Miyazaki] Aoshima Shrine: A power spot for matchmaking!

Aoshima Shrine, located on Aoshima Island in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, is known for its blessings in finding love, and the entire island, which is 1.5km in circumference, is its grounds.

It is also known as the setting for the Japanese myth "Umisachihiko and Yamasachihiko," with Yamasachihiko being the model for Urashima Taro. It is said that Yamasachihiko and the goddess Toyotamahime were united here, and the shrine has become famous for finding love and is also popular as a power spot.

The area around Aoshima is also home to the "Oni no Sentaku Iwa," a strange sight that can only be seen in Miyazaki, making it a must-see spot if you visit Miyazaki.
