It's said that you should visit Zenkoji at least once in your life! I finally made it to Zenkoji Temple.

It's a temple that is said to grant you paradise if you visit it once in your life.

There's something called a "kaidan pilgrimage" and if you walk through the pitch-black corridor, touching the wooden walls and taking one step at a time, you'll find a key called "paradise's key".
It's said that if you touch this key, you will be connected to the principal image and be able to go to paradise.

You should definitely experience the world of pitch black like you've never felt before.

[How to get around]
The essence of visiting Zenkoji Temple is in the early morning! It is said that if you are good at getting up early, you should definitely go to "Oasaji".

The time varies depending on the season, as it is held according to sunrise. It is generally around 5:30 in summer and 7:00 in winter.

The most famous of these is "Ojuzuchodai", which is held on the approach to the shrine before and after the Oasaji.

The prayer beads are touched on the head of the worshipper to bestow merit.

It is a rare opportunity to pray up close to the guru, who you would not normally be able to see!
