Nagano Prefecture This castle is located in Suwa City. It was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi's vassal, Hineno Oribe Masatakayoshi. At the time of its construction, the waters of Lake Suwa came close to the castle's edge, acting as a moat, so it was said to be impregnable and was also known as the "Floating Castle of Suwa."
